Hand Fasting

Quite literally 'tying the knot'.

Ye are Blood of my Blood,

and Bone of my Bone,

I give ye my Body,

That we two might be one,

I give ye my Spirit,

til our Life shall be Done

Oh my! This is so romantic!

Probably the most recognised of the ancient Scottish Celtic Rituals dating back to 7000 BC!

The act of tying a couples hands in a symbolic gesture with ribbon or chords represents the joining of families and the union or commitment of a couple.

You may wish to make your own ribbons or use something with sentimental attachment, there are no hard and fast rules except to truly believe in your fasting.
