Fires at Beltane jumping high,

Watch the bees buzzing by,

A silver bell ringing bright,

a besom sweep makes it right.

 

This ancient tradition has many roots and is firmly engrained in many cultures. But lets keep it close to home. Jumping over the broom represents leaving your old life behind and leaping into your new life, whether it be with your partner, your kids or even on your own its a moment of pure joy, hope and optimism.

 

And yes my Besom (Broom) is very 'Witchy woo' full of magic and possibility.
